Parks and Playground Update. 6/29/20
“Phase 4 Revitalization Guidelines” of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity allows for the opening of many Park District facilities. All visitors to our parks are asked to comply with IDCEO and Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines for physical distancing and safety protocol. The facilities of the Burr Ridge Park District listed below will remain closed until further notice. All facilities not listed are open to the general public.
Woods Pool - Closed for the 2020 Season.
Basketball Courts at Harvester Park & Stevens Park - Closed until further notice.
Outdoor Picnic Pavilions - Not available for rental in 2020.
Burr Ridge Community Center - Only open to pre-registered program participants and staff. No public access, no public washroom available, no office staff and no rental of rooms until further notice.
Splash Pad and Interactive Creek at Harvester Park - Closed until further notice.
Outdoor restrooms and portable toilets at Harvester Park - Closed or not provided until further notice.
Cultural Artifact Archaeological Dig Site - Closed until further notice.
* All Playgrounds are limited to no more than 50 persons at any one time and compliant with Illinois Department of Health guidelines and protocol. All playground visitors assume responsibility for complying with appropriate guidelines, which will also be posted at each playground.

About Burr Ridge Park District
The Burr Ridge Park District strives to promote quality living through quality leisure. To this end, the District emphasizes well maintained and equipped parks, playgrounds and open space, clean and efficient indoor facilities, comprehensive and diverse program opportunities, and a commitment to the wholesome well being of the community.
The District encompasses approximately 5.15 square miles, and serves a resident population of 7,400. Corporate boundaries include about 65% of the Village of Burr Ridge and portions of unincorporated DuPage County. It is governed by an elected Board of five park commissioners serving staggered six year terms.
The present park system includes twelve park sites totaling just over 79 acres. Throughout the system, a wide variety of recreational facilities and amenities are provided. The District’s community park, Harvester Park, is a 37 acre site featuring 17 acres of wetlands/prairie buffer and the 10,000 square foot Burr Ridge Community Center. The Woods Pool park site features a 90,000 gallon outdoor pool. Seven different playgrounds, featuring modern equipment and diverse creative play opportunities, are located throughout the park system.
The Park District offers a year round, comprehensive recreational program featuring hundreds of programs for all ages. Programs are located throughout the community, at park sites, Woods Pool, the Burr Ridge Community Center, and local schools. Additionally, the District offers Community Center rental accommodations for the community.
