Outdoor Park Facilities Available During COVID-19 Pandemic

The Park District would like to thank the residents and community at large for demonstrating care and caution and social distancing courtesy during their recent visits to our parks.

The Park District, with assistance from the Burr Ridge Police Department, is regularly patrolling the parks and discouraging poor social distancing behaviors and groups exceeding 10 persons in accordance with State guidelines.  All playgrounds, and the District has expanded this application to our shelters, fitness courts and skate park, are closed as required by State guidelines.

Tennis courts are open for non-wheeled play, with racket play limited to singles and a maximum of 4 persons inside the fencing at any time, practicing social distancing.   Open space, grounds, sports fields and baseball fields are open for groups not exceeding 10 persons and practicing social distancing as outlined by the Governor’s current executive order.

As conditions change, so too will the status of playgrounds and other facilities currently closed so please check back with us periodically.  The Park District appreciates everyone’s patience, support and cooperation.
